The Mechanical Engineering Department at Union College of Schenectady, NY invites applications for a permanent lecturer to be reviewed after three years with potential for promotion to Senior Lecturer in the sixth year. We are looking for a candidate to offer courses in manufacturing, quality control, statistics and engineering graphics as well as teach introductory undergraduate mechanical engineering courses (introduction to engineering design, statics, thermodynamics, or material science) In addition to teaching, the lecturer will have co-curricular responsibilities to advise and mentor ME students to succeed in mechanical engineering. A potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering (or closely related field) is required. However, exceptions may be made for applicants with exceptional pertinent expertise and work experience. The salary range for this position is $81,000-$84,000, commensurate with experience.
