Job Title:  Assistant Professor – Economics (tenure-track)

Job Duties: The assistant Professor in the Department of Economics will teach undergraduate courses in microeconomics, conduct research, and participate in faculty activities.  He/she will prepare teaching outlines detailing the course of study; assign lessons; correct homework and classroom papers.  The candidate will also prepare and administer tests to evaluate the progress of students; record the results and issue reports to inform students and college administration of the quality of educational achievement attained.  He/she will teach, among other courses: ECO 101 – INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMICS: Basic microeconomic model of price determination; impact of market structure on price and output decisions by firms; role of the public sector in an economy; basic macroeconomic model of national income determination; impact of fiscal and monetary policies on employment levels; price stability, and economic growth; international economic relationships.  ECO 300 level seminar course on Political Economy of Growth and Development.  

Minimum requirements: Doctorate degree in Economics or a related field.

Travel requirements:  Travel may be necessary for collaboration and present research. Frequency of travel is a total of two weeks.
