Applications for a three-year visiting assistant professor position either starting March 2022 or September 2022. A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field) is required, but applicants close to finishing their Ph.D. will also be considered. The successful candidate will have a strong background in one of our core teaching areas: solid mechanics or thermal fluid sciences. Teaching experience in other areas such as engineering graphics, manufacturing, and control theory are also desired. Candidates with strong research experience and willingness to engage undergraduate students in scholarly research will be favorably considered.
