STEP (Science & Technology Entry Program) is funded by NY State Department of Education and Union College to encourage underrepresented students in science related fields. Minority and low-income 7th through 12th graders are eligible to participate. STEP summer mentors will work with students to conduct a research project. Mentors will be responsible for a group of 4-5 students throughout the day as they work on their projects, attend workshops, and during lunch and recreation time. Mentors will rotate throughout the program as trolley monitors for student pick up and drop off. Mentors are required to attend an orientation meeting during Spring Term. Housing is provided for 3 weeks (7/6 - 7/24/2020). Mentors will be paid $1,300 plus a $100.00 per week meal stipend. Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM*
 
*Please note, the final day (7/24/20) will be extended until 7:00 PM, when the students will present their research.
