Responsibilities include: prioritizing and scheduling the work of each Building Maintainer, coordinating vacation and time off requests, purchasing necessary materials and/or equipment needed for the Building Maintenance area, scheduling staffing levels for major events such as Commencement, ReUnion, Trustee meetings, etc., conducting periodic inspections of all buildings to ensure proper quality of work and to notate maintenance work needed, assisting staff in all phases of work when needed, and performing other related and unrelated duties as assigned.  In addition, the Supevisor of Buidling Maintenance will actively participate in daily briefings and weekly staff meetings with the Facilities management team.  

Qualifications:  High School diploma requried (Associates Degree in Applied Science preferred), at least five years experience in a position related to maintenance in an institutional setting with at least three years experience on a supervisory level.  Successful candidate must be able to understand written and verbal direction, possess a Valid New York State drivers license, have basic understanding of the use of a computer, be safety conscious, and be able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
