ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ANNUAL GIVING

The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for Terrace Council ($2,000 and above) level gifts through the development of cultivation plans and solicitation strategies aimed at increasing leadership gifts and growing the major gift pipeline. The Assistant Director will manage a portfolio of leadership giving prospects.  The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Annual Giving. 
 
Specific Responsibilities: 
  • Lead strategist for the Terrace Council ($2,000 and above) level gifts.
  • Develop a targeted solicitation plan for prospects to the Terrace Council to encourage their sustained and increased giving.
  • Manage a portfolio of prospects.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects for gifts to the Annual Fund and other identified priorities.
  • Assist with the development of related special recognition and gift acknowledgement programs.
  • Participate in creating an environment that promotes a team atmosphere, creativity, fun, excitement, and a high level of motivation and accomplishment.
  • Travel required as well as some nights and weekend commitments.
Qualifications:
 
Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of professional work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experiences and demonstrated excellence in written communications, fundraising and working with volunteers required.   Ability to develop strong relationships with a diverse group of donors with the highest degree of professionalism.
